Meeting Mr. Cheeks from the Grammy Award Winning Group The Lost Boyz

On July 20th, 2019 at the Super Star Saturday's Philly's Best Of The Best All-Star Unsigned Hype Competition put on by Non-Stop Entertainment Media Group I had the privilege to perform in front of one of the sickest groups I grew up listening to The Lost Boyz. Yo! Growing up I had Legal Drug Money on deck all the time that album is the truth with Hiphop bangers like Music Makes Me High, Jeeps, Lex Coups, Bimaz & Benz, Life Styles of The Rich & Shameless, Get Up, Renee, Keep it Real that whole album was F.I.R.E 5 mics Mr. Cheeks, Freaky Tah (R.I.P), DJ Spigg Nice and Pretty Lou that clique was and is the tightest. Their music keeps you on that positive vibe making things less stressful for those in the struggle getting by.

Although I knew it was a competition with the winner receiving a Grand Prize of $1000 with a Sony Distribution Deal and a trophy. To me I was more siked to share the stage with such a legendary group. I wanted to win too but having a great performance and getting that picture with Mr. Cheeks took precedence. No matter what happens at the end of the day I had to get that photo shot with Mr. Cheeks and to put on a great performance cause The Lost Boyz bring the house down every time they perform so I couldn't suck it was game on.

I started my set off paying homage to the group by warming up with the hook from Jeeps, Lex Coups, Bimaz & Benz and to shout out Cuban Link, DJ Soul Buck I did mess up by not paying my respects to Lynnette from Philly Hott Radio and that's "My Bad" for not doing my research. As the crowd felt the vibe I was giving off they started to sing the hook with me and that felt great I was on the right path little did I know as I'm shouting out the other judges guess who steps on stage bobbing his head with his ear out to the crowd like Hulk Hogan; None other then the legend himself Mr. Cheeks.

Yo! And let me tell you man that pumped me up 10,000 watts......At end of my set Mr. Cheeks gave me another shock to my system as I'm turning toward the judges to walk off the stage Mr. Cheeks looks directly at me and shouts out "Fucking Good Music Man!" mannnnnn I cheesed so hard like a child getting that gift he's been waiting all year for.

At the end of the competition I got my chance to meet Mr. Cheeks and let me say this man is as advertised he was very welcoming engaging he shared helpful tips to us all took pictures with everyone even gave us a little show introducing us to Alize who by the way to me has that Lauren Hill vibe definitely can't wait to work with her.

Peace, Love, and Happiness to The Lost Boyz!
